Set in a rural hamlet in County Monaghan, Ireland, The Naturalists follows the story of Francis and Billy Sloane, whose isolated existence is shaken by the arrival of the mysterious Josie. It is a story of secrets, atonement, and how we can be healed by the land, by each other and, maybe, by the perfect stranger. This world premiere was written by Jaki McCarrick, finalist for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and winner of the Papatango Award for new writing.

Set in the leafy north London suburb of Muswell Hill, a dinner party turns dangerously fraught, yet increasingly comical, as the hosts and guest rattle their middle class complacency to a point of no return. Amidst this domestic disaster, an earthquake in a developing nation rocks the rest of the world. How can they justify their everyday worries in an ever more fragile world?

Mike Leigh’s brilliantly observed comedy captures the epically human and funny price of denial as a group of new neighbors gathers for drinks in a suburban London living room. Penned in 1977, Leigh points out that “[the play] still hits a nerve about the way we live.” A New York Times Critic’s Pick and a sold out run!
